TORONTO LOSES TO NORTH STARS

Toronto lost to the top ranked team in the N, the North Star, by a score of 3-2. The Leafs actually outplayed the North Stars, outshooting them 31-23. The first period was a scoreless draw that saw Toronto actually playing disciplined hockey only taking one penalty. Leach opened the scoring less than three minutes into the period, but at the 12:36 mark, the North Stars would tie it as Shaw notched his fourth of the season. So, we headed into the third period tied with the top team in the league. Toronto poured it on in the last period outshooting the North Stars 14 to 8 but, unfortunately, Valk scored the game winner on a power play 11:36 in the final frame to go up 3-2 and that is how the game would end. Next up for the Leafs is a game against the struggling Sabres hopefully we can pull out the W.
