Big fat zero

With their 3rd string in net, being backed up by their 4th string, the Sharks were expecting a lot of goals against but with their recent additions, they didn’t expect to get shutout.

“I was expecting 7-4,” stated the GM.

But the North Stars shut down Joe and the crew, keeping them off the score sheet and allowing only 19 shots to make it through to Martin Brodeur, for his 2nd shutout of the season.  In winning the Stars have moved into 4th place while the Sharks have fallen to 8th.

The Sharks get a night off now and then travel to New Jersey and a date with the leagues best team the Devils.  It will hopefully be a better result to that game with starter Grant Fuhr ready and after the night off will be at a 100%.

Let’s hope they can manage a goal or more against a very good Devil team.
