Journal de Quebec!

The front office had discussions about bringing one of the greatest defensemen in the league back to Quebec. And last evening, it finally happenedRay Bourque was traded to Quebec, along with John Chabot.

Ray, born in Montreal, Quebec, just a couple of hours from home, previously played with Quebec in 19871989, and 1990. We are extremely excited to have Bourque back in our lineup.

As for John Chabot, he mostly played nine seasons with Toronto and his last two seasons with Detroit. His experience and speed will be a valuable addition to our young roster.

However, in return to Detroit, we had to part ways with Tommy Albelin. Tommy has been with us since 1990, playing 383 games and registering 164 points (35 Goals/129 Assists). His contributions will be missed.

On the other hand, Dave Pasin, who was picked up in the off-season as a free agent, started his career in Detroit. He was pleased to be told that he was going back to Detroit.

The trade also included a prospect, Jean-Luc Grand Pierre, and a second rounder in '96.

We wish the departing players luck with their new organization, and we are very pleased with our return.
