Penguins Lose to Kings. Kings Exact Their Revenge. Just recently, the Penguins hung 7 goals on the King. Tonight, the show was on the other foot. Here's the game recap; In the 1st period, the Kings opened the scoring at 1:12 when Bureau scored his 12th of the season from Holik and Morris. At 3:05, the Penguins answered when Young scored his 24th of the season to make it 1-1. Off to the 2nd! In the 2nd period, the Kings made it 2-1 at 3:33 when Yawney scored his 4th of the year with a powerplay goal from Murphy and Stumpel. At 9:02, the Penguins again tied the game when Jagr scored his 13th of the season with a powerplay goal from Zalapski and Young. After that, the floodgates opened and the Kings rang off 4 consecutive goals as Plante, Murphy, Shedden and Stumpel all scored for the Kings to make it 6-2. At 19:58, the Penguins managed to get one back when Jagr scored his 2nd of the game from Young and Zubov to make it 6-3. Off to the 3rd. In the 3rd, the Kings made it 7-3 at 15:23 when Morris scored his 16th of the season with a powerplay goal from Holik and Samuelsson. That would be all the scoring in this one and we would have a 7-3 loss as the final score for the Penguins.
