Penguins Fall to Jets. Lose 4-3

In another game against yet another cup contender, the Penguins fell short against the Jets. Let’s recap;

In the first period, the teams traded chances back and forth with the Jets totalling 9 shots and the Penguins only managing a measly 4. Despite their best efforts, neither team would score. 

In the 2nd period, the Jets rang off 3 goals in a 6-minute span to make it 3-0. At 3:33 Kurri scored his 5th of the season. Then at 7:31 and 9:48 Sweeney and Lang would contribute with goals of their own. The Penguins did strike back at 17:37 with a powerplay goal as Amonte scored his 6th of the season from Gonchar and Kovalev to make it 3-1. 

In the 3rd period, the Jets would restore their 3-goal lead at 12:38 as MacInnis scored his 4th of the season. The Penguins then stormed back scoring two goals just 48 seconds apart as Kypreos scored his 4th of the season at 13:05 and Amonte scored his 7th of the season at 13:53. 

Despite their best efforts, the Penguins could come no closer and this one would end with a final score of 4-3. Sean Burke was stellar in this one making 38 saves on 42 shots.
