Penguins Bounce Back. Burke Shuts Out Maple Leafs

The Penguins were hoping to stop their mini two game skid, and Burke made sure of it. Here's the game recap;

In the 1st period, the Penguins opened the scoring at 12:13 when Foligno scored his 17th of the season from Joseph and Gonchar to make it 1-0. That would be all the offence on the 1st as the Penguins outshot the Leafs 8-6. 

In the 2nd period, the Leafs would outshoot the Penguins 11-7, however neither team would manage to score. The Penguins entered the 3rd still leading 1-0. 

In the 3rd period, the Penguins took a 2-0 lead at 1:54 when Foligno scored his 2nd of the game from Kovalev and Joseph. Burke would cruise from there as the Penguins outshot the Leafs 12-4 in the 3rd and 2-0 would be your final. 

Next up, the Penguins will have a day of rest before they tangle with the Florida Panthers in Pittsburgh.
