Penguins Lose Again. Taken to Task by Bruins.
The Penguins are playing like bystanders watching their seasons expectations slip them by. Here's the game recap;
In the 1st period, the Bruins scored first at 4:27 when Fleury scored his 15th of the season from Murray and Rouse to make it 1-0. That would be all the scoring for the 1st period as the Bruins outshot the Penguins 11-8.
In the 2nd period, the Bruins again outshot the Penguins, although barely at 9-8. The Bruins once again scored the lone goal of the period at 17:15 when Sundin scored his 3rd of the season with a powerplay goal from Nolan and Peplinski to make it 2-0. The Penguins entered the 3rd period trailing by that score.
In the 3rd period, the Penguins halved the lead just 35 seconds into it as Jagr scored his 9th from Keskinen and Leveille to make it 2-1. The comeback was short lived as the Bruins scored just over a minute later at 1:45 when Mironov scored his 4th of the season from Peplinski and Murray to make it 3-1. The Bruins then added the coffin mail and made it 4-1 at 12:47 when Palffy scored his 8th of the season from Young and Larmer.
4-1 would be the final in this one as the Penguins drop yet another. Next up, the Penguins will have another day of rest before they play the Flames in Calgary.
