Penguins Pumped Again by Devils. Team Looking for Answers.

Another game against the Devils and another lopsided loss. The Penguins need to do some soul searching fast, as the season isn't quite as young as it was. Here's the game recap;

In the 1st period, the Devils once again jumped all over the Penguins early and often. Lemieux, Boschman, Johansson and Andreychuk all scored for the Devils to give themselves a 4-0 lead. The Penguins were unable to find the scoresheet in the 1st and headed to the 1st intermission trailing 4-0.

In the 2nd period, the Penguins finally got on the board at 6:38 when Smith scored his 3rd of the season with a short-handed goal from Zubov and Kovalev. That would be all the scoring in the 2nd period as the Penguins entered the 3rd trailing 4-1.

In the 3rd period, at 7:08, Iafrate would make it 5-1 for the Devils with his 3rd of the season from Fortier and Emerson. Then, at 10:2,0 the Devils made it 6-1 when Galley scored his 5th of the season from Desjardins and Zezel. 6-1 would be the final in this one.

Next up, the Penguins will play the Winnipeg Jets with Chris Tererri getting the nod.
