Penguins Decisively Defeat Kraken. Rebound From Loss To Bruins

The Penguins were looking for a win and a date with the Kraken were just what the doctor ordered. Here's the game recap;

In the 1st period, the Penguins opened the scoring at 7:46 when Lafontaine scored his 22nd of the year from Jagr and Stelnov to make it 1-0. At 9:04, Seattle tied the game 1-1 when Matteau ripped home his 21st of the season from Peluso and Helminem. At 15:59, the Penguins regained a 2-1 lead when Amonte scored his 17th of the season from Malakhov and Kovalev. The Penguins took their 2-1 lead into the 2nd period. 

In the 2nd period, the Penguins took a 3-1 lead at 4:36 when Zalapski scored his 10th of the season from Lafontaine and Roberts. At 5:15, the Kraken made it 3-2 when Jensen scored his 9th of the season from Falloon and Kypreos. At 12:42, the Penguins made it 4-2 when Arnott scored his 9th of the season from Podein and Keskinen. Then, at 18:15, Roberts scored his first 19th of the year from Jagr and Lafontaine and give the Penguins a 5-2 lead. That would be the end of the offence in the 2nd and the Penguins took their 5-2 lead into the 3rd period. 

In the 3rd period, the Penguins made it 6-2 at 16:08 when Roberts scored his 2nd of the game from Jagr and Lafontaine. 6-2 would be our final.
