Rangers Win Two in a Row
The
New York Rangers have now won two games in a row, a
rare feat for this team through 61 games. Two nights
ago, the Rangers gave the New Jersey Devils a 10 – 3
beat down. Sure, the Devils were starting their
backup goalie, but the Rangers will take it. Jere
Lehtinen and Vyacheslav Kozlov led the way. Each had
2 goals to go along with 3 assists. The two exciting
rookies, Alexandre Daigle and Jarome Iginla, also
got in on the action. Daigle had 2 goals while
Iginla had 2 assists. Last night, the Rangers faced
off against the Edmonton Oilers and, while the
result was not as exciting as the game against the
Devils, the Rangers still secured the 4 – 3 win.
Tony Tanti scored a goal with 2 assists to help in
the winning effort. Iginla and Trent Yawney each
provided 2 assists to help get the win.
