NORTH STARS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO 6

After starting off the season 1-3 in the first 4 game,s the Minnesota North Stars find themselves in the midst of a 6 game winning streak and extending their home record to a impressive 5-2 on the season.  They have gone 7-3 in their 1st 10 games, putting them 5th in the Campbell Conference and only 2 points behind the Red Wwings and the big 4 of the conference.  GM Glenn Merkir has been excited about the outcome of the first 10 games and the moves that he has made thus far early on in the season.  The acquisitions made this season have made us younger, with better picks and even more competitive this season.  Adding to the coffers of picks this year, GM Glenn Merkir added San Jose's 1st in 1995, a draft year that the team did not have any picks.  Additions to the team this year have been very instrumental in the winning attitude in the dressing room.  Ric Nattress and Norm Maciver have both brought veteran leadership, hard nose defence and even some added offence.

Recent additions Sundstrom, Ihnacek and youngster Martin Gelinas are contributing already for the team as well.  Minnesota needed to put a great team in front of Brody so he can have every chance to win in Minnesota and go far into the playoffs and that's what we feel we have done. So more tweaks we are sure will happen throughout the year leading up to the deadline but, for the time being, GM Glenn Merkir will let the new additions find their way and role on the team. Until then...

Stay tuned.
