The NFHL Game of the Night

North Stars Double Hawks for Number Eight

The Minnesota North Stars continued their stellar play and continued to make a push up the Campbell Conference standings tonight, winning an important divisional game to extend their winning streak to eight games.  Murray Craven had 2 goals and an assist, drawing an assist on Gary Valk's goal in a 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. John Tucker, Mathieu Schneider and Petr Klima scored the other Chicago goals. Craig Ludwig, Luke Richardson and Martin Gelinas scored for Chicago.  Minnesota is 4 points behind Vancouver for 3rd place in the conference, thought they are still 9 points back of Vancouver and 11 back of Colorado, who are now the top team in the Campbell after beating Quebec tonight.  The Blackhawks have lost 2 in a row and are 7th in the conference, 4 back of 6th place Edmonton but just 1 point up on 8th place Columbus, though they do hold 3 games in hand to control their own destiny there.
