Is it panic time for #99 and Co. yet?
#7. Ollie The Goalie's Getting The Job Done
Olaf Kolzig stopped 33 of 36 to secure the Sharks 5-2 victory over the Devils. It was a statement game for San Jose as they aim to prove they finally belong in the Campbell Conference playoff picture vs. a talented New Jersey squad. Kolzig is off to a great start to this season with a 9-5-1 record.

The Winnipeg Jets have been flying high through the first three weeks of 1994. Kirk Muller helped them stay hot with a 2 goal and 3 assist performance in a 7-5 win in Detroit. After an early loss vs. Vancouver, the Jets have won 12 straight games to keep pace with the Blue Jackets and Rockies for first place overall.
#5. Wamsley Stakes His Claim For Starting Job
After former starter Mike Richter was shipped out of town as part of an impromptu rebuild, St. Louis goalie Rick Walmsley stopped all 27 shots he faced in the Blues 5-0 shutout win over the Rangers. His reward? Getting to join several teammates on the block as the organization continues to tear down their roster.
#4. Larionov Leads Rockies To Big Win
When the defending champion Rockies visited Chicago it was Igor Larionov's turn to put on a show. He scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in a 9-5 win over the Blackhawks. Colorado is showing no signs of a playoff hangover as they continue to win games by a wide margin. They already have 4 players with 20+ points!
#3. Alexander The Great Is Flying High
Alexander Mogilny is off to a red hot start with 23 points in 15 games and is quietly becoming a superstar in Detroit. Tugnutt had been battling for playing time with Mike Vernon and Bill Ranford but is relishing the starting role in Tampa.
#1. Bure Blazes Past The Maple Leafs
Pavel Bure had a 4 goal outburst in the Oilers 8-3 win vs. the Maple Leafs. He opened the scoring on the powerplay and then notched a 2nd powerplay goal later in the 1st period. The Russian Rocket completed his hat trick midway through the 2nd period and notched his 4th late in the game. A game like this should help Bure break out after a slow start to the year.
